Students of the Drama Section of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad performed the ‘Forever and a Day’ play in the Svilara Cultural Station.
The play is based on the drama of the same name by Milorad Pavić, published in 1993, and focuses on the story of Petkutin and Kalina, the heroes of the baroque flow of the Dictionary of the Khazars.
The love story is intertwined with the search for the prehistoric man Adam, and the whole idea and motive abundance of one of the greatest post-modern novels are woven into our selection from Pavić’s unusual theatrical menu. Guided by the menu structure of this theatrical text, immersed in different times and spaces, we play to the rhythm of Pavić’s riddle: Who are we, and why are we here?
