Ilija’s World


The ‘Ilija’s World’ lecture will be held within the ‘Bosilj Fiction of Atelje 61’ exhibition, which marks 60 years of the establishment of ‘Atelje 61’, on Tuesday, 16 March.

The ‘Ilija’s World’ lecture and an hour-long professionally guided tour will be led by art PhD Ivana Bašičević Antić, with the beginning at 5 p.m.

Ivana Bašičević Antić is a PhD graduate at the University of Arts in Belgrade, Interdisciplinary Studies, while the topic of her PhD thesis was The Theory of Textual Practices in Visual Arts – Function of a Word and a Picture – Case Study: Dimitrije Bašičević Mangelos and Marcel Broodthaers (2012).

She has been the manager of the ‘Ilija & Mangelos’ Foundation since 2007, and her main mission is preservation and promotion of legacies by Ilija Bašičević Bosilj and Dimitrije Bašičević Mangelos.

Since 2010, Ivana has been the member of the Steering Committee of the Dimitrije Bašičević Mangelos Award – which is part of the Young Visual Artists Awards (YVAA) regional project.
