CITIES FESTIVALS, ARTISTS – MOHAMMAD SHAMS AND JOVANKA VIŠEKRUNA JANKOVIĆ


The Leading Egyptian pianist Mohammad Shams from New York arrives at the Egység Cultural Station on 18 December, where he will hold a concert entitled ‘Cities, Festivals, Artists’ within the Artlink Festival.

This extraordinary pianist enjoys a diverse musical life as a performer with a strong emphasis on chamber music. He will perform works by Bach, Chopin, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, as well as works by Egyptian composers.

As a soloist, Shams has played all over the world, with world-famous orchestras such as the Bátiz Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Manhattan School Orchestra/Entremont, the Royal Conservatory Symphony Orchestra / Symphony Orchestra… He has been a guest at many international music festivals – Beethoven Festival in Bonn, String Academy in Plzen, Brevard Festival in North Korea, etc. He is also a co-founder and associate of the music festival in Japan, where he has been holding chamber music concerts during the summer since 2016.

At the concert in Egység, a pianist Jovanka Višekruna Janković will perform with Shams in a piano duo, performing several Slavic plays by Dvorák.
